* Radish grows well in mixed crops if suitable neighbors are selected for it. Lettuce, tomatoes, beans, peas, onions, kohlrabi and carrots contribute to the rapid growth of radish. Bad neighbors are Chinese cabbage and cucumbers.
The main pests of radish are the summer cabbage fly and the spring cabbage fly. Their larvae eat the outer layers of radish. An effective method of protection is to cover the seedlings with a special net from insects.
